Dear all,

Although I was getting the Vo posts all right, I couldn't post for about a
week. My msgs to the list were getting lost in some sort of black hole, without
even an "undelivered" return message. This was due to, as I finally found out
thanks to Bill letting me know there had been changes in the eskimo.com spam
management system, the latter relying on spamcannibal.org, and spamcannibal.org
persistingly keeping my ISP's SMTP server smtp6-g19.free.fr on their
blacklisting database for some reason.

I have found a way round the problem, which I thought I would share with other
members who might experience the same problem.

1/ Create a gmail address with POP3 enabled (I already had one which I was
using simply as a relay to my usual address)
2/ Set up a new email account in your email software, using the gmail POP and
SMTP servers (I was agreeably surprised to find that was possible, I was under
the impression that I could only use my ISP's SMTP server for sending)
3/ Subscribe the gmail address to Vortex and unsubscribe the usual address
4/ Post to Vo using exclusively the gmail account in the "from" address

P.S. Jones might even get my posts now, do you Jones?
