Hi, A "simple" question for Ed Storms, or anyone else who has an answer:
When metals such as Pd, Ti, Ni etc. absorb Hydrogen, it gets split into atoms (AFAIK). Where does the energy for the splitting come from? (For H2 we are looking at more than 4 eV / molecule, which is far in excess of average thermal energies.) Regards, Robin van Spaandonk The shrub is a plant.
