This looks like an excellent battery.
I see no need to recharge batteries from braking on a commuter
bicycle. It does not save enough energy to make it worthwhile.

I saw a lot of electric bicycles in China. Bicycles are still widely
used there. In Japan many people commute to train stations on
bicycles. You see thousands parked all day. It is a perfect
combination of light and heavy transportation.
