Gee ... thought you'd never ask ... Are you familiar with Puthoff's ideas on altering the permittivity of space? Perhaps one way to alter the permittivity is using a HV or capacitive corona: the Tesla coil being a prime example. In practice, however, whereas Puthoff might see this alteration as a possible route or 'entry way' for cohering the energy of the vacuum, I am posing the possibility that it can also operate as a "sink" for ambient energy. IOW depending on how it is engineered, ZPE can be either 'sink' of 'source' of extra-dimensional energy. The "Polarizable Vacuum" theory of Wilson was developed by Dicke and then further enhanced and interpreted by Puthoff. It starts with the assumption that the gravitational field results from the effect of matter on the permittivity of space. Both Dicke and Puthoff argue that atomic dimensions including the radius of the electron can be altered by adjoining matter. Hal Puthoff argues to replace GR by a causal theory in which the presence of mass-energy changes the permittivity of space, and as Horace mentions, "the ZPF "jittering" of charged particles and subsequent interactions between them, which causes correlations we interpret as gravity. By reversing the tables and looking at the ZPF as having properties of a sink as well as being a source for hidden energy, then ... hmmm ... at the very leastm it makes it simple to identify the proximate 'source' as well as to avoid LoT violations ;-) Jones
