Jed, Yes... when I sent my email to the journalist in question, I was very careful to avoid talking about, or knocking the work, that this chap is doing out in the west of Canada. I don't think it pays to malign other people's work, unless they go over the top and start unreasonably maligning your work... in which case the facts from several decades of expenditure on "hot fusion" would speak for themselves,as you indicate.
