www.stifflerscientific.com and www.drstiffler.com were taken down by
accident when the wrong switch was thrown shutting down the lab for the
holiday. The DNS automatically defaults to the host.
The site is back up but DNS replications may take up to 72 hours worldwide.

The YouTube video's were removed on purpose. Because the last few video's
were far from professional in response to those that were less professional.

While seemingly drastic I can appreciate preventative action of this
sort to protect one's work, particularly in our current cyber-age
where everything is fair game to the unscrupulous.

What puzzles me nevertheless about Staffer's recent action is the
apparent suddenness of it all. It gives many of us the impression
(regardless of whether it's an accurate assessment or not) that
something unexpected happened...something unfavorable in regards to
Stiffler's on-going work. Often when actions like this occur, when a
web site suddenly becomes unavailable, it can be indicative that
impending disaster is on the verge running rampant within the
organization - rats leaving a sinking ship.

Again, I certainly don't blame Dr. Stiffler for wanting to take a well
deserved break. But jeez! Leave a place holder, a card at the front
door saying something like, "Going fishing! I'll be back next week.
etc..." I'd like to point out that out at the overunity.com web site
everyone there seems just as mystified as we ignorant Vorts. BTY,
someone by the handle name of "canam10" (is that you, Jones????) has
just posted the Thanksgiving Holiday explanation.

Jones, did Dr. Stiffler tell you personally that he was taking a
well-deserved Thanksgiving break - or did he post his intentions in
some obscure place and most of us (like me) simply didn't catch it?

Steven Vincent Johnson
