Ten years ago I tinkered together a 20 ft long replica of a Mississippi River sternwheeler, only it runs on compressed air instead of steam. It uses a portable air tank at 65 psi driving twin 2" bore by 6" stroke air cylinders. When the engine driving the compressor quits, I have a range of about 250 ft to get back to the dock which sometimes makes me glad the pond isn't much bigger than that.
