[snip] They do seem to be speeding up, but I don't think climate is the only reason. I suspect the powers that be know there is less (perhaps much less) oil in the ground than anyone acknowledges, and both India and China are rapidly expanding automotive use, which in turn will lead to skyrocketing fuel prices. That in turn will severely effect the global economy.
