I contantacted them and got the reply that their device
has a quarter million very small IR reasonators that feed
a 50 ohm load resistor which heats as the reasonators
cool. I sent them the link on flexible material filled
with nano antennas which sounds similar. They would like
to have a 30 THz rectifier. I reminded them of the W
needle / thin insulator / Ni baseplate diode which
rectified light to determine the frequency in ~1971
Applied Physics Letters.
