Vorts,

Diode arrays plausibly rectify and aggregate Johnson noise to absorb heat directly from surrounding air or water (that can not be made more uniform in temperature by further stirring) while releasing equivalent electrical power.

The concept requires nanometer scale diodes fabricated in parallel series to be practical.

I have been overly committed to the parallel series arrangement. The series parallel arrangement may be more practical for the feasibility investigating prototypes that we need first that use near microscopic surface mount discrete diodes. It is easier to build high voltage high impedance prototypes suitable for common high impedance voltmeters this way. The series form is additive for voltage and impedance but it also makes the diodes operate so the lower current /higher voltage / reverse polarity mode predominates. Johnson noise is low power so overly large discrete diodes are not driven far from their interpolated zero bias impedance and the predominance is slight. 700 SMS7621 diodes configured as 7 strings in parallel, 100 diodes in series per string, may have an impedance near 10 meg ohms.

Charlie
