Howdy Thomas,
I used to believe there was some truth to conspiracy theories. Not any more. One needs only to watch TV and read the funnie papers to notice there is an ignorance permeating society that is so gross, that no intelligent person could imagine how really dumb it is to give government credit for planning anything, The chances for congress to develope a financial plan reminds me of a drunk in the Dime Box saloon being given 5 chances to hit the floor with his hat.. and missing all five. Nobody could be that dumb you say.. well..you just ain't never been to the halls of congress.. where it's not nearly as important to win.. as it is to make sure the other guy loses.

What makes me angry is how science (dare I qualify that with western

I hear you Mark. There's plenty of money to build another laser induced
fusion reactor, but no money to do LENR. AFAIK, this technology has no
prospect of ever producing any usable energy.

Perhaps this is a result of mainstream scientists wanting to continue
milk the cash cow of high energy fusion. OTOH, a more insidious
explanation is that there is an oligarchy which has benefited from
trafficking in oil. Even more insidious, is an agenda to promote a war
between Islam and the west by giving the Islamists large quantities of
money.
