I'm on History Channel's show about the dust-bowl era, "Black Blizzard," attempting to demonstrate dust-impact electrification using a hand-held field mill and an old rusty plow. It was humid that day, but it did (barely) work. Dust storm voltages have been measured at a few hundred KV, with most of the field concentrated in a knee-high ground-level region of bouncing mineral grains.
