I was expecting them to shut down the Volt R&D and production. This
is appalling but not surprising, alas.
It is ironic that this announcement comes a few days after a Chinese
company began selling plug-in hybrid cars with 1.5 times the range of
the Volt, for half the price.
Terry Blanton wrote: "I say let them fail."
I do not know if we should let them fail or not. I still cannot bring
myself to say that we should. But I would throw out the top
management immediately. As in: "Collect your personal belongings and
be out the door in 30 minutes. You are off the payroll as of this
instant. You pension will be disputed in a lawsuit."
