Yes indeed, the average per bet take is highly predictable and
controlled. The fact the same money is continually recycled through
the machines means it is whittled down to nothing at all in a highly
predictable amount of time.
But a friend just returning from Lost Wages says that the Casinos
there are empty. She said that she was inundated with free drink and
meal chits while she played slots.

We live in interesting times.
I have some relatives that like to gamble because they get a comp
room. I really like my bedroom and king size bed, but if I didn't I
could remodel and buy a new bed for less than the cost of a vacation
in Vegas (partly because the trip form here is so long). It all
makes no sense to me, but I'm just a dull dum kind of guy.
