I think it is unlikely that the Coca-Cola company would make false claims of that nature. If they say these are hybrid trunks, you can be sure they are. In any case, technical details are available on the web, such as the fact that they use: "A motor/generator, working with the transmission and a series of lithium ion batteries, allows the truck to source electrical power instead of gas when traveling at speeds below 30 mph."

They have developed a 33,000 lb truck and a 55,000 lb one.

They won the Orion Energy Systems Environmental Stewardship Award for this and for improvements in lighting. I doubt they would win such an award under false pretenses.
