If anyone has a Kindle electronic reader gadget, please contact me. I am
thinking of reformatting my book and uploading it in that format. This turns
out to be a lot of work.

I can get a Kindle in about a month, but at the moment they are out of stock
because Amazon is going to introduce a new model.

I do not need a Kindle to reformat and upload the book, but it might help if
someone who has one could download and review, and perhaps give me a few
pointers. For example: Is it a good idea to include hyperlinks to web pages
and documents in the text? What happens if you click on one? Nothing, I
assume.

The Kindle upload section has a Kindle emulator for a computer, which is
supposed to show how the book will look. I do not trust emulators.

The documentation for preparing and uploading Kindle formatted documents is
inadequate, even for an old-fashioned programmer like me who is used to
working with specifications on the back of an envelope. The Kindle native
format is rudimentary HTML. They do not even support tables. They could have
done a better job. See:
