I'm ususally lurking in the background, but that brings back memories - my grandfather used to talk about the run-away currency inflation in Germany during the Weimar republic and that you had to take a whole basketfull of money to the market just to buy a loaf of bread. He came over to the US around 1907 but had a lot of family still in Germany so he knew what was going on. I was quite young when he would talk about this and I found it interesting but rather academic. May now have a chance to see this for myself ... maybe not so academic ....hmmmmm.....
