Frank, note that anyone on the vortex list can read your unencrypted email address loud and clear without any need to indicate it in the body of the message.
(The same goes for anyone _outside_ the list I am afraid, all they have to do to see it is click "reply to author" on the publicly available list archive, I guess the idea is that spam bots are not clever enough to do that... which is a bit doubtful as they certainly will be one day or other.)
