The new Chairman of GM was quoted ( Bloomberg) as saying "I don't anything about making cars". Given that and the 30 - 40K Volt, Yes, I would sell their stock short. There's also a blog on Seeking Alpha expressing skepticism over their all weather engineering relative to Toyota. OTOH, you might want to keep an eye on a penny stock ( 87 cents/sh) that could suddenly emerge as a winner: Enova Systems (ENA). They are losing money building electric vehicle drives but that might change with a few big orders. I do not hold their shares yet. There is a real possibility of some company unrelated to auto manufacture entering the electric car market as a competitor. A tiny company like Tesla had to show GM the way.
