This weekend a birthday party was held at a favorite cafe in Madison for two
guests, myself and a friend of ours, a technician who works at Fermilab. I
asked our technician friend how things were going at FERMI.

For those who might be curious, there are rumors that Fermilab may be close
to hunting down the most likely location as to where the mysterious "God
particle", aka the Higgs Boson, is predicted to exist. Apparently, the
technology at Fermilab's is conveniently equipped to search out likely
locations. As our Fermilab friend put it to us, it's within Fermilab's
"sweet spot".

Apparently, Fermilab's dedication to resolving the matter has made certain
researchers at CERN a little nervous, fearing FERMI might steal some of
their thunder.

Not to worry, our Fermilab technician replied. Even though some CERN
personnel have left, or are seriously considering moving back to FERMI, in
hopes of helping hunt down the location of the illusive particle, FERMI at
best will only be able to point to specific locations where they believe Mr.
Higgs hangs out. It will then be up to the additional power of CERN, with
their own quantum-flux-generators to seek out the mysteries of the universe.
AS long as CERN doesn't initiate any unexpected quantum flux surges...
