I am glad to hear the Chinese are doing this. Better now than later 
on, in a crisis. This is good medicine for the rest of the world.

As much as I admire Chinese culture and its people, I do not like or 
trust their government. I think it is a grave mistake for the U.S. to 
rely on China to produce most of our basic consumer goods. Perhaps I 
overstate this, but in my view, we have made ourselves hostage to the 
goodwill and honorable intentions of communist tyrants.
