However, I am having trouble downloading them. The largest one, 26 MB, does not want to download. I have uploaded it 3 times. It is this file:

. . .

There is something wrong with my Mozilla Firefox configuration. It is trying to open the file with PDF Professional 6, which is not working. It times out with large files. Internet Explorer works fine. That's unusual! Usually I.E. screws up and Firefox works.

If anyone else has trouble downloading these files, please contact me.

My copies of these papers are lot better than EPRI's.

This paper is very important:

McKubre, M.C.H., et al., Development of Advanced Concepts for Nuclear Processes in Deuterated Metals, TR-104195. 1994, Electric Power Research Institute.

I learned a terrific amount from it. I am glad that I can now share it, and chagrined knowing that I might have shared it long ago.

I did not know this file was available at the EPRI web site because Google did not know about it, because the file was not searchable. Look up TR-104195 and you find LENR-CANR.org plus the other usual suspects, not EPRI. This demonstrates the importance of using the searchable Acrobat format. It is also a good idea to check the underlying text to confirm that the OCR worked reasonably well. If the text includes lots of noise and OCR errors, this causes two problems:

1. The reader cannot do a find within the document. You look for "cell voltage" and you don't find it because the OCR program thinks the document says "ce11 vobage." The search goes right by it.

2. Google still can't find the document.

Anyway, I am tired from working tirelessly, so I shall quit early. If there are problems with these files I'll fix them tomorrow.
