Impressive!

Since the inner racer is free to turn around the axle, I have a hunch
that what matters more is the shape of the balls
rather than the rolling motion of the balls.  If you jammed the balls so
they
couldn't roll I conjecture your bb-motor will still want to rotate when
you apply the juice. I am assuming the fit between the inner racer and
the axle is sufficiently snug and frictionless for this to work.
