It is ironic isn't it? CF dismissed by DOE and the patent office, and yet potentially important to DOD. However, I think the potential for concern is very real. Thermal excursions and particularly thermal excursions producing neutrons have been noted by various researchers. I now think there is a theoretical basis for such events.
