Oops, "large disk."   The disk in the lower half of the frame isn't
smoothly oscillating, it looks like it's being grabbed and pushed.  The
camera is zoomed in so that part is hidden.

Just ask him directly whether he's moving it by hand.  He might say "of
course I am."
