I attended a global warming conference today at the University of
Pittsburgh. I was not convinced of the reality of it, is global warming real
or is
it not real. We will it have a bad effect or will some warming be good.
So what if the ice melts, ice is good for nothing.

China wants to limit CO2 on a per capita basis the US wants to limit it
on country basis. We in the US emit 5 times more CO2 per person than does
China, the number is 15 tons per person in the US. The US wants limit Co2
to 1990 levels, China and India state that they were not developed in 1990
and that standard is unfair. How should we proceed?

Then there came a speaker from Australia. Some areas in Australia did not
have any significant rain in 15 years. The aquifers are running at 3% of
level. Many aquifers have become infiltrated by sea salt water. 70% of
the farms have been abandoned. No washing of cars is allowed except for the
windshield and headlights. Showers may be limited to 3 minutes per person
by an automatic device. 40% of the population may have to be relocated.
If it does not rain in the next few years Australia as a nation may not
exist.

Ohh that's bad. I’m convinced.
