[Vo]:Toyota adds noise to Prius to alert pedestrians

Toyota announced that the Prius will now include a gadget to make 
some noise at low speed to alert pedestrians to the presence of the 
car. The gadget makes a noise "unlike a motor" more futuristic, 
apparently. The sound level is 55 dB. It cuts out at speeds above 25 
kph. That's reasonable.

They have an add-in version for the Prius model now being sold (the 
third generation model) that costs $140.
