[snip] This is only true for energy scarce economies. Once energy abundance has been achieved the population stabilizes then starts to decline. This is demonstrated by several European nations. Note that this discounts immigration. However my point is that if the whole world were energy rich with a high standard of living, then we might expect the population as a whole to decline, which is a good thing. As it stands the world is over populated. CF would provide such a solution.
