It is a solid oxide fuel cell. Not revolutionary. These things have been
around for decades but no one has been able to make a large scale, costs
effective version. If Bloom succeeds it will an important contribution even
if it serves only niche markets.

I guess the revolutionary part would be that it does not require precious
metals in the catalyst, and it is said to have high efficiency. Those claims
are believable.
