Troubleshooting this issue Charter.net gives me the following "solution" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 550 [MESSAGE ID] Message identified as SPAM - Please visit http://www.charter.com/postmaster E5110 Possible Issue: The content of the e-mail message, or a portion of it, was flagged as SPAM by Charter’s anti-spam detection system Troubleshooting: If the e-mail message was incorrectly identified as SPAM, you may submit it to Charter for review. To do this, send the ORIGINAL e-mail message to [email protected]. IMPORTANT: The message must not be forwarded. You must resend the original message. Allow ample time for processing. Charter is unable to respond to the submitted messages. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alas, I can't make any sense out of the last two sentence. They read contradictory to me. How the hell am I supposed to send them the problem message. In one sentence they tell me to send the ORIGINAL e-mail message to them. But then in the next sentence they tell me explicitly not to FORWARD the erroneous message. What the hell am I supposed to send them? BTW, it does not come back as "SPAM". I just get an innocuous message returned from Mail Administrator as follows: ------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Monday, November 1, 2010 6:34 AM From: Mail Administrator Add to Addresses Block Sender To: [email protected] Add to Addresses Subject: Mail System Error - Returned Mail Size: 2 KB Attachments: [] (0.3 KB) [] (0.9 KB) This Message was undeliverable due to the following reason: Each of the following recipients was rejected by a remote mail server. The reasons given by the server are included to help you determine why each recipient was rejected. Recipient: <[email protected]> Reason: 5.7.1 <[email protected]>... Access denied ------------------------------------------------------------- I'm baffled. I still want to throttle Charter BTW: I communicated with Bill Beaty on the matter. He suspects it might be a problem with Charter getting suspicious with the fact that I have a different email address in the "TO" field ([email protected]) that is different from my official charter.net address ([email protected]). This would have to be a new development insofar as Charter is concerned. I've always had my charter email set up this way. For years. -- Regards Steven Vincent Johnson www.OrionWorks.com www.zazzle.com/orionworks
