When life gives you lemons . well, you know the rest . even if you can't spell "panglossianism" most of the time, but indeed who can? Can-dide?
It's all about applying the phase shift to the negative. not the 180 shift but the 90. We were talking about 'negative temperature' on Vo before 2004, but this is the start of the earliest thread I can find in the archives which mentions the subject (in later posts of the thread). Frank Grimer's brilliant concept of "compreture" is intimately related. http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00148.html So, fittingly it is about time for mainstream science to get involved in putting a kind of positive spin on negative temperature. Even if they are a bit behind the curve. http://www.sciencenews.org/view/generic/id/66435/title/Negative_temperature% 2C_infinitely_hot Awkshully . I suspect when one pries further, this kind of speculation on 'deep cold' goes back to the early days of ZPE. Zero point energy, after-all, constitutes everything which surprisingly ends up relating to "negative temperature". To anyone in 3-space, this kind of cold is itself energetic, since that rabbit hole runs very deep .. "Free energy" could, and should, be easier to come by, once we begin to diligently look for the anomalous heat-sink instead of the anomalous heat-source. That could be accidental too, as spills often are. Yet this tapping of the ZPE can only happen in a reciprocal sense for us. Otherwise we would have stumbled on it by accident. Last time I checked, CoE hasn't budged much. Oh sure, CoE took a big header when Madame C. came around, but it managed to "redefine" itself in the same way it will have to do once again, and probably soon, when we find that deep sink, so to speak. And where, you ask, may evidence of that be anomalous heat-sink be found? Stay tuned . Jones
