Latest NHK news: The outer containment vessel pressure is building up. They have to vent the gas from it. The gas vent line goes through filters so they do not expect particles to escape, but there may be minute quantities of radioactive material released, so as a precaution they have evacuated the surrounding area up to 10 km (as noted previously).
