Jeff Driscoll may have posted this Blacklight Power link earlier without comment. It could relate to Rossi, but in a negative way.
http://www.blacklightpower.com/papers/Eng%20Power050410S.pdf This is the first time that I have noticed how the new Mills' reactor scheme could be similar to the Rossi device, in two ways - either of which may end up in court, eventually. Let's hope not. But as Apple has learned with the iPad, when you have a hot product, a thousand co-inventors will come out of the woodwork. First off, Rossi does not claim to use, or to need, any kind of 'regeneration' of catalyst at all, at least not by that exact name - BUT in the Bologna demo, there were 5 independent controllers, no? The consensus explanation for this feature, a few months ago - was that temperature control was so important to this design that many layers of redundancy were required. Maybe, but that seems extreme. Another explanation was for a progressive or standing wave of hydrogen. Another explanation for 5 controllers is the 'musical electric chairs' arrangement in the BLP tradition, as is explained in this tiresome paper above. What Mills is doing is an arrangement of many units where one or more working reactors are used to regenerate catalyst in a rotating system which avoids the problem of "batch mode". It was common knowledge when BLP signed up the Grid companies in New Mexico, that the holdup for going into day-to-day operation was in solving the batch mode (or sequential regeneration) problem. It would be interesting to know if any of them are nearing startup yet. On the other hand, since Rossi would be able to combine this functionality (if he needs it, and he may not need it) into a single unit whereas Mills proposes to do it with separate units, then it may not be the same thing to the patent office - or else, this is how Rossi gets around the patent application mentioned recently. IOW for Rossi, at any given time - segments 1,2, 3, 4 could be recharging segment 5 with lots of heat left over for the load; and a few seconds later "musical electric chairs" and voila, segment 1 goes into recharge mode (death penalty) and 2,3,4,5 become operational. Music stops, progression continues, ad infinitum. death and rebirth in three quarters time? It could be another combination or permutation of that theme, but you get the picture. Again, this may be irrelevant to Rossi since he may need no regeneration at all. However, it would be foolish to think that these two kinds of hydrogen devices are unrelated, and that both have a unique kind of "new physics" operation for energy gain - but neither new process relates to the other. No way. Jones Ray C. sez: They say that I'm livin' too fast but I'm feelin' fine (yeah) And I just keeps easin' along in 3/4 time
