Even though they use unheated noble gases circulated briskly through much
larger geometry with less suppression you are correct  their method exploits
the same "environment" of

Rapid Variations in suppression levels.  They accumulate energy with what
they term a "lamb pinch" (rather than chemical reaction) which acts as the
rectifier when the gas transitions between insulated and suppression zones.
I communicated with Moddel at the time  who had already satisfied himself
mathematically that the back pressure hehad to pump against did not increase
in proportion to the energy extracted. His main concern at the time was
funding and trying to find a low cost alternative, like self assembly using
nano powders, to side step the large cost of milling an array of .1u holes
through a stack of alternating layers of Casimir and insulating plates. I
guess we should  add "Lamb Pinch" as another possible path to heat.  BTW, I
liked your letter to the editor in latest IE.
