Perfect! See? That's how it should be done! Beene reveals his training as a lawyer. You do not originate the rumor, or take responsibility for it, or give it substance. You merely allude to the fact that other people are saying thus and such, but of course *I* would never say thus and such, nor even hint at it, perish the thought! I applaud you. I have no objection to this kind of thing, especially done with such finesse by a master politician such as yourself. Seriously, there is no harm in repeating rumors that are swirling around the Internet. As long as you don't make it sound as if you have inside information that the police should know about, you are fine. - Jed
