Note: my worries are only precautionary - and thus far there is NO evidence of a scam on the part of Defkalion. But certainly, they do appreciate that the patent claims are weak. Who wouldn't? > HV: Another possibility is that Defkalion knows that Rossi's patent claims are very weak or even futile. The 1mW plant will serve to impress investors and *secure* loads of money quickly so that they can stay ahead of the competition, at least for a while. But why wait? - they could have billions in the bank NOW - with a proven self-runner. A self-runner is the holy grail. No one has ever done it to date in LENR. I hope that the current situation is "oversight", and that Defkalion did not realize that COP>8 will essentially guarantee a self-runner. But Rossi could put all the worries aside when he "closes the loop" with or without their approval. Why would Rossi not want to do this? Does he not trust his own skills? If this device is actually as robust as the evidence seems to show, then he needs to go this route - for his own protection, if nothing else. I have a feeling that he will try to do this, in fact - and that he has probably come to the understanding that he may have "sold far more value to Defkalion than they thought they were buying". Jones To that end, I propose that we suggest to Rossi the best approach for a self-runner, based on the same E-Cat tested by the Swedes. The Swedes showed that they could disconnect the H2 for a couple of hours. The obvious first objective is that we want to find the best way to convert 2.5-4 megawatts of heat into a few hundred watts of electricity with an off-the-shelf converter. With a few more details, the self-looped E-Cat can be set up on a wheeled cart, started up on the grid, disconnected from the grid - and then run under its own power for a couple of hours. No calorimetry required. No way to cheat, when we can roll it into the parking lot. Everyone lives happily ever-after.
