The oil drum has a component of their subscribership that wants to get back
to nature by killing off most of humanity.  They say “starve the beast”: the
beast being humanity.



Peak oil is their favorite route to that end.  The reality of effective cold
fusion is a tremendous disappointment to that crowd.
