Well, I never intended a permanent relocation.  The list belongs to
Bill and he pays the, er, bills.  I'm sure Eskimo is economical and
few people make the annual donation.

BTW, it was moved from another ISP once before; so, if you (global
'you') want the list permanently relocated, we might have to make our
donations more often.

Yahoogroups are free, so are googlegroups. Used to be you could pay and get advertising-free groups, on yahoo. I don't know if they still do that and I found the advertising sufficiently unobtrusive to not be worth paying to eliminate it....

Having moderated both yahoogroups and googlegroups, I find that yahoogroups has better tools. We should have multiple moderators. No problem with making Beatty the owner, and there should be at least two owners. I've seen a lot of groups go down the tubes because a sole owner disappears. My sense is that owners, as such, need do practically nothing, just be available to name new moderators if needed, or a new owner if one disappears.
