Footnotes of interest, for the Cultured few amongst us - in what may end-up
as either a modern-day myth-come-true ... or else a Greek tragedy...

Δευκαλίων -> Deucalion or Defkalion

The two English translated names: Deucalion, or Defkalion, are one and the
same individual, the son of Prometheus - who is also the Greek version of
the biblical Noah.

Defkalion/Noah survived a great deluge, which had threatened all of
Civilization - by virtue of what can best be described as a "container" or
box.

Starting to sound familiar, metaphorically ?

For Noah it was a large Ark. For Defkalion it was a small chest. The Greek
account can be found in Ovid's "Metamorphoses". Most of the Mediterranean
cultures, including those all the way to India had similar ancient myths of
a deluge, or flood, but with different heroes.

It is not clear from Ovid if Defkalion's box was colored blue or not <g>

Defkalion's aunt, notoriously, was a woman you have all heard of before - a
curious gal named Pandora...

... guess the "magic box" thing kinda runs in that family, no?

Leading one to wonder: Who's zoomin' who?
