How ironic it would be if Rossi succeeds and this battery breakthrough comes along just when it is no longer needed. That sort of thing has often happened in the history of technology. Just when they finally get something working just the way everyone wants it, a radical new replacement comes along. From the engineer's point of view it is heartbreaking.
