Do you all know that the term 'jumped the shark' is from a reference to the TV sitcom, "Happy Days?" In one episode, Fonzi was water-skiing and decided he was going to jump over an enclosed area with a shark. They built it up as dangerous, but the audience thought it was silly, and since then the term is used to reference something that has wandered too far from credible to be considered relevant. Ironically, the TV show continued for several more years.
