If they're the epicenter of the "conspiracy" it's not a very effective
conspiracy.
(FYI, IIRC, Jed has said, repeatedly, that in his opinion there is no
conspiracy to suppress CF, it's just a bunch of individuals acting
against it independently but in sufficiently similar ways that they
appear to be coordinated. Much as I hate Jed's use of the phrase, "I
agree with {him,them,that-honcho,all-those-experts,whoever}", in this
case, I'll use it, too: I agree with him.)
