Ah, ha. Maybe you mean the other will be attached to the metal with a piece of duct tape. That would be interesting. A sub-standard way to attach it. In a proper calorimeter that would be a terrible way to do things. I thought you meant there would be duct tape between the TC and the metal surface. Not so interesting. I was surprised today to find that ordinary adhesive tape works well enough to keep the two TCs remarkably in sync with one another. It was uncanny. I decided to start by eliminating the bias with the screw adjustment, rather than just pressing REL. - Jed
