More broadly (avoiding the question of nano-clusters), nickel is only one
of many substrates that have been successfully used in LENR experiments.
 Others include palladium, titanium, tungsten and platinum. Nickel and
palladium get all of our attention, but researchers are
finding anomalous heat with all kinds of substrates.
