One point about high temperature LENR that is very important is the ability of a 1000C reactor to efficiently produce hydrogen through a simple chemical cycle. Hydrogen is required to crack heavy crude into a “sweet” crude product. Pumping H2 down a well hole is the best way to reduce the viscosity of the crude by refining it in the hole.
