When I was a kid I asked my father about termites. He said they were not much of a problem around Johnstown as the climate was to cold. A few days of well below zero weather seemed to freeze them out. He said, Just down the hill and a little south in Antoona they were a problem.
They have now arrived in Johnstown with a vengeance. Many homeowners have had an unexpected and unwelcome surprise. Has the climate warmed up enough to let this happen? Are they a new strain of foreign subterranean termite? Things are happening everywhere with climate change, you just have to look around in you local to notice. Frank Z
