In the RF world we quite generally get large voltage transformations by using Q to our advantage. In these cases, the equivalent impedance of the source is transformed into another value. You never get additional power this way, just slightly less at a different impedance due to losses within the components.
The Tesla coil is a prime example of this type of device. A lot of voltage is produced but at much less current than the source of the original power. No new energy, just at a different voltage. If you are using AC voltages derived from ferromagnetic transformers, which is what everyone is familiar with; then you cant get more out of a coil then what you sent in. But resonant rise obtained voltages has instances of secondaries exceeding the normal amp turn ratios.
