Well . . . as I see it: Just because we are "painfully conventional people" (as Martin said), I would not want the readers to think that's all we are. I don't want to give the impression this is only a staid academic field with oh-so-serious mainstream papers. Cold fusion also has a "hip" anything-goes side to it as well.
