Sounds logical and here is my interpretation: Gravity acts more strongly at reduced distances as they state and is the conduit between matter, dark matter and dark energy.
-Dark matter is just collapsed matter due to the strong gravitational pull at Planck distances. -Dark matter above the Planck mass can absorb energy/photons (the negative component of the dark energy they discuss) -The positive component of dark energy they mention is Hawking radiation. This is the radiation/heat/given off by Rossi's device and others by collapsed matter in the voids filled with gas.
