OK, maybe unemployed physicists are creating them. In engineering and construction I can never get a contractor to make a circle as smooth and concentric on a job site as I see in crop circles and many sinkholes. Funny thing is, most of the stalks are not broken, they appear to be irradiated, some in beautiful cross hatching patterns.
